If there's anything a test of conscience does really well, it's secure you to your internal promises. "Guided by Humanity" was now literally at the center of the company's ethos, and it became a part of everything Livongo stood for. We continued on with the evolution of the visual and voice directions, landing on a mission statement of "Human-centered health and care", which came up in new talks for an acquisition of the post-IPO company. Livongo announced its acquisition on Oct. 30, 2020 for $18.5 billion, a record-breaking transaction for a health tech acquisition.

RESULTS
Livongo's sale marked a huge milestone not only for health tech messaging, which followed down the path of putting human care at the center, but for design-forward companies, which now report a 4X ROI for spending on world-class design movements (McKinsey).
